Chargers snap Jets’ three-game win streak on Monday night

The Chargers’ best victory of the season came last week when they defeated the terrible Chicago Bears 30–13. The Jets, who have one of the greatest defenses in the league and victories over Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts, hosted the Chargers on Monday night.

Thanks to an incredible first quarter in which they led by 14 points and displayed strong defensive line play that prevented the Jets from getting close, the Chargers won their second straight game.

Remarkable NextGen stat: On Monday night, running back Austin Ekeler had three sacks, which is a tie for the most in his career. Ekeler had a strong game aside from the drops, ending with 47 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. However, Ekeler led the team in receptions the previous season, and the Chargers (4-4) will need Monday’s drops to be an exception because he frequently sets off big plays
